"A wonderful old style hotel…RIGHT on the sandy beach and steps from the pier and main strip of beach restaurants. the hotel gave us boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and other beach paraphernalia and we had a great beach day. We rented bikes and rode up to Manhattan Beach and back. Ate great food. The hotel is VERY old school. If you like 1920 architecture, a very relaxed atmosphere, and a beachy vibe (like I do), then this is your place. If you like elevators, concierges, and swimming pools…this isn’t for you. I’l be going back again and again."
