"We loved the Palazzo Podestà in Civitavecchia! It was above and beyond our expectations. The property was an amazing getaway with luxurious amenities and looks like a dream. The enormous junior suite had high ceilings and a large balcony with spectacular views of the water. "Big spacious clean room. Room was quiet despite being in the center of town. Central location between train station and cruise shuttle drop off/pickup site. Lots of restaurants nearby. Claudia was an extremely gracious and helpful host. She was flexible and arranged breakfast to accommodate our excursion schedules. We stayed four days between cruises and having previously visited Rome, explored the surrounding countryside."

"I don’t know if this is the case for all rooms, but in our situation it felt more like a shared apartment with strangers. We shared the same kitchen, while the bedrooms and bathrooms were separate. Unfortunately, the walls were not soundproof at all, so we barely slept during the two nights we stayed there. The floors also didn’t seem very clean, which made it uncomfortable to walk barefoot. That said, the location is great and the price is reasonable."
