It was very muddy and boggy in the park in February, wellies are a must! Our room (12) was classed as a 'superior' but I don't think that was warranted. We were fascinated by the history of the manor, furnished by It was brought to life by David, who was prepared to spend as much time as we needed to explain things and give us helpful tips about the area. "Good parking and very clean property. However music from event hall was very loud until 11pm. Music carried on onto the 2nd floor about 3 am til about 5am. Awful night, none of us could sleep. No one yold us on check in that vreakfast was to be pre booked so imagine our surprise coming to breakfast with a child. Was a cery awful night with minimum sleep due to noise. "

"Parking behind main building is limited, we got the last space. Unfortunately our twin room was like an outbuilding in the car park and very cold (radiators didn’t work) with a lamp not working and a spot lamp flashing on and off. Reported to staff and they put an electric radiator in the room which took the chill off. They said they’d have to get an electrician out re the lighting problems. "Terrible stay. Dirty rooms, Breakfast is non-existent and all continental only. A lot of maintenance workers stay here, so you can imagine the standard. Depressing side of the road lodge. It is not a hotel really, more like a youth hostel!"
