"Parking behind main building is limited, we got the last space. Unfortunately our twin room was like an outbuilding in the car park and very cold (radiators didn’t work) with a lamp not working and a spot lamp flashing on and off. Reported to staff and they put an electric radiator in the room which took the chill off. They said they’d have to get an electrician out re the lighting problems. "El hotel es la típica casita inglesa muy acogedora, las habitaciones son pequeñas pero muy cucas, al parecer antiguamente creo que hace más de 20 años pero no estoy seguro se llamaba Shakespeare hotel y era conocido tanto en Bedford como en Londres. Debían de festejar bodas y cosas por el estilo. Bueno a lo que iba las chicas con las que coincidido a las tardes encantadoras y super amables siempre dispuestas a ayudar, pero luego está BAZ, Baz es camarero, recepcionista, cocinero en ocasiones, y...

"Room ticked all the boxes. The staff were friendly and most helpful. The breakfast was delicious. Lovely hotel ideally placed overlooking the strand/ water."

"As with the HIE at East midlands airport 2 days ago, everything was great. The only down side was that the water in the shower wasn't too hot."

"The room was really clean. Bath was updated and loved the towel warmer. The rooms could use an update, down-side was is was really dark. More lamps or brighter bulbs would be appreciated. The dining area has great food, we had a dinner and two breakfasts. The full English was more than my husband could eat. All in all a delightful stay. "

"Staff were lovely and the food was great only down side was the room our bed seemed broken and dipped on one side so I woke up with a sore back. but other than that it was a lovely stay and I would stay again but I would go to a different room. "

"Only had a very quick stay but impressed with the pub, diner and the room we had, in terms of what it was and cleanliness. Bit expensive though. Staff very friendly, helpful, polite and professional. We’d happily stay there again if we can get a deal. Only thing is pub car park is extremely limited and has half a dozen spaces. However, there is plenty of public spaces around - just need to watch timings but overnight parking seems to be ok."

"Overall pleasant accommodation although the arrival/ check in process was a little bit confusing, not helped by the poorly lit surroundings. Rooms are modern, warm and cosy, although pillows didn’t have cases and quite a bit of the previous guest’s hair on both the pillow and in the shower."
