"Booked a stay in the hotel,, but morning of check-out was going to be charged a fee per bag to leave bags with Bellman while we grabbed breakfast. Absolutely ridiculous!"

"Water faucet in bathroom leaked. 2 days to fix it. Maid left a towel on the bathroom floor for unknown time. Not sure it was from us. No drinking water first night. And air conditioning wouldn’t go below 77 degrees. Was supposed to get a bottle of wine but wasn’t told th bottle in our room was from Expedia so we never opened it. But hotel did try to make it right by us. Food in restaurants was poor. Not my first choice for future visits."

"The Public is situated in a great location near China Town. Little Italy, and SoHo. It’s a pretty fast cab ride to Midtown and downtown. I didn’t get a chance to try the restaurant because it was closed. The café was pretty good with breakfast food, fresh juice, and coffee. Housekeeping was very accommodating and the room was clean and orderly. There are things in the room that are comfortable for example thats a bit awkward, for example, there was no place to hang a towel in the bathroom area, no Kleenex, and no hairdryer, so I had to request these items. There are no hooks so you have to place it somewhere close to the shower, which is very tiny. The design is very much like the Edition hotel near Times Square, which I’ve stayed at several times and I enjoy because there is an amazing restaurant and bars. It’s very minimalist design. The table could use one more chair and better quality seating/chairs. I did not get a chance to sample the rooftop bar, but I will have to do that on my next journey or the club for that matter. The front desk staff was very helpful in anything that I needed. Andy, the front desk manager was also very accommodating. I typically stay in upscale properties in Midtown and this hotel really held its own against bigger brands that are more luxurious. It has a younger vibe, which was fine. Overall, a very comfortable stay."

Aura Hotel Times Square

"The hotel overall was a good experience. I never knew the hotel had a breakfast or where it was at. The hotel is rather small, being so close to Times Square. With that said it was quiet and I couldn’t hear the noise of Times Square which is a huge plus! Don’t expect to get a view from your room. Our view was a brick wall, lol!! Unfortunately for the last 2 days of our stay the AC gave out and the room was very warm. We ended up leaving early to cool off at the airport before our flight home."
