"The Mountain Star Lodge is a nature lovers' oasis nestled in the midst of a bustling Austin suburb. The lodge is set back from the road, on a hilltop overlooking a lush green valley full of birds and othe lical wildlife.
The accomodations are rustic, but clean and spacious. The small kitchenette was an added bonus.
The setting is quiet and peaceful, while being just a couple minutes from upscale shopping, entertainment, and offices. The proprietor "Sonny" was friendly and accomodating....
"Great hotel and staff. Very clean and nice pool. It is located to The Rainey District so expect some noise when you go outside but could not hear the noise inside. Overall a nice place and it is close to Town Lake trails."
"We love this hotel. It is conveniently located, family friendly and offers great customer service. We love that there is a bar and restaurant onsite, and love the pool and outdoor space. We have visited twice and will be back again! "
"The Line is a great place to launch your Austin Adventures from- we sprung for a view of the water which was awesome to wake up to daily- and a lot quieter than the surrounding area would normally be...Austin is bustling with activity which is good and bad- having a tranquil room and really great in house dining options makes it a lot less stressful to be in the Capital for work.
I have stayed here multiple times, and it's really cohesive- everyone is positive from valet parking to taco shop...
"Very clean room, staff were friendly, WiFi just a smidge slow, and was business friendly. The only thing I would complain about were other guests being a tad loud but of course not the Hotels fault. I did have a joining room so that’s on me."
"I liked it ,but made a mistake while booking and didn't realize in parentheses that a cabin room doesn't have a bathroom in the room, but separate shared bathrooms along the hall. They were clean and nice but in the middle of the night if you need to go it's kinda of a pain to have to get dressed just to go to the bathroom. But that was my over look but if you need a room and don't mind it or at least are aware of it lol it's a great room and hotel especially for the price."
"Overall a great stay. Nice clean property close walking distance to Rainey Street attractions. The freeway is right next to the property and it's currently under construction so had to navigate that coming in and out of the property. If you have a large vehicle the parking spots in the garage are very tight but that's typical. On Saturday night the freeway was quite loud since our room did face that direction. I stay here again but I would attempt to book a room further from the freeway."
