Clean, comfortable and reasonably priced

This is an older property, so you expect some inconsistencies in things like carpet and bathroom fixtures, etc.. The room was very clean as was the entire property. The AC worked great and the bed and linens were clean and comfortable. The price was fantastic. The staff was wonderful. I will stay again when in the area. We had no problems and enjoyed the two nights we were there!

Really classic Texas hospitality. I would stay there again in a heartbeat even tho some things weren't working 100%, didn't matter because the cook came out and said whenever you are ready, I'll cook you up some breakfast Really charming and comfortable

The room and bathroom were very clean and so was the bed. The bathroom was extremely clean except the towels were worn. The staff at check out was trying to get me to pay a second time with cash. I hope management is aware of this.

Check in was quick and convenient. There was no tv in our room but they were quick to resolve that issue. When we returned from dinner we found a dead mouse in our room!! Needless to say, we will not be returning.

The room had a very strong, musty smell. Unpleasant. The walls are thin to where we could hear the person in the room next to us snoring and it literally woke us up because they were so loud. Pros: The rooms were clean and the from desk staff were friendly.

First, this motel was difficult to find because it was renamed from "Texan Inn" to "SureStay PLUS Hotel by BEST WESTERN" and both Google Maps and Expedia have not updated the name change yet. Second, I was happy that my basic requirements were met: safe and quiet with working shower, air conditioner and TV. And finally, however, there were several vital things missing that culminate in critical safety issues where I would not consider staying here again until they are fixed: 1) no smoke or fire detectors in the ceiling; 2) no metal fire sprinkler; 3) phone is inoperative; 4) toilet paper and roll were missing; and 5) drawer between the beds had no bottom so I was looking at the carpet when I opened it. And of a lesser nature, the soda machine on the first floor did not dispense my soda bottle when I paid $2.75 for it. (While the front desk did compensate me, the point is the machine wasn't working properly but did take my money.)

Visit back Home

We arrived shortly after 3pm. Checked in, got our room key and left. Returning to the hotel shortly after 5, we get into our room only to notice that housekeeping hadn't finished cleaning the room. We immediately notified the front desk and they accommodated us with a new room. The room was spacious and clean. The best slept wonderfully. After our minor incident the stay was quite pleasant. Would stay here again.

Breakfast was good. Curtains need to be changed they were torn pretty bad. There was dust on the furniture. For it being a non-smoking room it still smelled like old smoke and a musty smell. Started coughing as soon as I entered the room. Room need more attention.
