The Asthetic of the hotel is just that aesthetic, While the location is Poor! To start off the hotel doesn’t accommodate your arrival/Departure, you will have to find your way from/To the airport to the hotel.The rooms were very clean and the cleaning staff were amazing!! The hotel knows they are in the middle of nowhere and when it comes to food drinks and entertainment, super UPCHARGE on dining and common necessities (like water). They do have a menu but something’s are not on said menu, so they tend to mark up and then blame it on tax in the dining hall. (A few times I actually heard them saying one price then charging another so keep all of your receipts ). We stayed to bring in the new year and they had a buffet but nothing on the buffet is true belizean dishes so we wanted to try something from the menu but we were told it’s the buffet 88 bzd per person or nothing. If you’d like to do anything away from the hotel you have some options you can either rent a car (can be really expensive by day 300-400 bzd per day depending on car) grab a taxi which is really expensive est. 30 bzd per person each trip , take the hotel shuttle 20 bzd per person each trip, or try the unofficial bus route 2 bzd per person each trip. If it had not been for the cleaning staff we probably wouldn’t have been able to explore the wonderful things Belize has to offer. .. long story short don’t book here just get an all inclusive
