"Room was pretty worn down and there was a wet patch on the carpet that never really dried. But the view of the harbour was great and it was close to the family I was visiting along with the train station. A stale but serviceable stay. "

"The hotel is excellent, beautifully decorated we were in the whiskey room. All the staff were friendly. We had lunch there which was lovely. The breakfast selection was also fantastic and tasted grest"

Breakfast was cooked to order and arrived quickly.The leisure suite is a bit tired (jacuzzi was out of action, and looked like it had been for a while) however, this did not detract from the overall relaxed vibe of a charming old hotel. We would stay again."

"The room was amazing and so comfortable, the staff were lovely and couldn't have done anymore to make our stay special. The food was phenomenal and after seeing the prices we will definitely be planning on visiting more often with our family. Cannot wait to see the renovation but hope the same feeling stays about the place as it is such a special venue for us as a family. We got married there and love the old Scottish feel about the place. "
