"Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to."

"After having been to Tavistock nearly every other year for the last 74 years, 54 with my wife, we always wanted to stay in the Bedford. I booked the Bedford this year and I was not disappointed. It was clean with the rooms done everyday, the meal selection throughout the day was excellent and the staff very helpful. It is also pet friendly. There is an outside garden with which to sit with a drink and relax. The parking is ample but has a cost of £8.00 per day if you do not book your stay...

"The place is OK as a base which we used it for whilst we were in the area. The food was nice with the added beneit of a Gluten free menu and they do have separate prep areas for food. Rooms nice, although a little dated and some need a little attention in places. Reasonably priced for both food and drink, service can be a little slow at times. Bar area gets busy we tended to sit in the restaurant area as it was more quieter. Breakfasts tasty, good selection of food and hot food if you want...

"Absolutely fabulous few days away. This is a real gem of a hotel. Quiet and secluded but a real joy to experience. The staff are so helpful and genuine (Rosie, Sharon and Oliver deserve medals) There was plenty of choice for breakfast, the cooked breakfast was tasty and well presented. The evening dinner menu and quality of food was 10/10. I think it could be even better with a slightly extended menu. We will be back x"

"TotALY perfect . Lots of communication .Easy check in . Gorgeous room . Delicious Pie ( it was Friday ) and veg . Breakfast was perfectly cooked. We took a walk and lost our way which was also perfect . Cant wait to go back "
