"The location of the property was great. Just a short and direct walk down to the beach. Proximity to restaurants, cafes and other places to eat was very convenient. "Absolutely loved my stay. I was there for a conference at the convention center and it was a very quick walk across the street. I fell and unfortunately broke my arm on day one, but that wasn't the hotel's fault, just my clumsiness. Amazing (and inexpensive by US standards) medical care was just a few blocks away, as well as a pharmacy and grocery store. The room was more than I hoped for. Everything needed for cooking or warming food was there, with a large fridge. The living room area was nice to watch tv and the bed was so comfortable with plenty of nice pillows. The a/c worked amazingly well and kept me cool. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I enjoyed the Granite bar area for appetizers and a sundowner. The pool area was nice, but it was a bit cold for me, mainly due to outside temps being in the 60s. There are no steps in and out of the pool though. Getting in was east, as it was just over waist deep for me, but getting out was harder since I couldn't use one arm to hoist myself out. Overall I would definitely stay here again."

"Super nice staff everywhere in the hotel. I found 2 issues that could be better. First the bed had no top sheet only a duvet, so when it was too hot there was nothing to cover up with. Easy to fix. Next was the noise from the square, as an older building the windows did little to block the noise of vendors setting up and tearing down, and the drumming went on for 3 hours at midnight. Not a restful night needs improvement."
