"Love the 'vibe" this place gives off, the retro surfer hotel. The host in the restaurant gave us great pointers on a rooftop bar to view sunset ,upon our return we had a few drinks in the hotel bar. Great service , we took our drinks back to the areas with the outside bar and fountain. The couch in front of the fireplace was all mold between the cushions. we went around and checked out all of the furniture , all mold. I pulled them apart to help them air out . we opted to sit on hard chairs, also filthy so we wiped them down.
They truly have a perfect space but more than 70 % of the hanging light strings were blown and needed replacing. I then noticed several tables with glasses on them and since our bartender was so nice and apparantly working solo, I decided to help him out - I took 8 trips in and out running glasses into him. Finally a girl came out of the kitchen in slow motion and picked up one glass I missed but never wiped anything down or straightened out chairs.
The outside bar area and pool were scheduled to be closed for a wedding on Friday (it was wednesday when we went down) I certainly hoped they cleaned it up.
Also our room was never serviced in 4 days- I think housekeeping needs review.
The wedding caterers delivering at midnite was a negative also- beep beep beep :("
