"Started as a 2 out of 5, ended up at a 4 out of 5. So much better in the end. We booked through Hotels.com and as premium members should have been offered an upgrade and 20% off food. Neither was offered and when I pointed it out to the hotel, they did refund me the 20% off food but were unable to upgrade. We were given room 621 which has to be the noisiest room in the entire hotel, right above the huge intersection of two very busy dual carriage ways. I asked to change but was told at first that it was the only one with two single beds, all the others were made as double, and that I should have specified I wanted a quiet room. I do not feel that there should have been a need to specify a "quiet room". I don't think people go to hotels asking for a noisy room or a party room! We did try to stay in the original room but the noise was so bad that we went back downstairs and told the hotel that we would separate the beds ourselves and make the beds ourselves. The did find us a quiet room (there was plenty) and the front desk manager made the beds. The rooms was much much quieter if it wasn't for the squeakiest bed I 've ever slept in. It was actually quite comical. The pillows were very thin and had been washed so a lot of hard little balls inside , not the most comfortable. On the plus: A very nice breakfast and staff at the front desk and at breakfast this morning were very nice. One advice: When you have plenty of rooms left, why not start with giving "quiet rooms" first?"
