Bad experience in Berlin

The bed just fitted into the sides of the walls with very little room to walk down the side. The supplies of soap & shower gel were very mean. It is not a homely apartment, there are no pictures on the walls. There are lots of rules & the English translation is very bad stating “no physical impurities” must be left, referring to the cleaning. A cleaning fee & city tax is also charged yet walking on the wooden floors makes your feet dirty. The fee has to be left in cash & the host comes into your apartment to collect it, during the stay. I was woken on our last day on Saturday morning at 8:06 with a text message from the host. The check out time was 11:00 but the host knocked on the door to clean it at 10:55, asking how long until we were leaving. There was nowhere to leave our luggage either & we were advised to use lockers in a railway station on the other side of the city!

Excellent base for competing in the Berlin marathon. Great location, a few hundred metres from U-bahn stop, with supermarkets, restaurants and cafes all within a few minutes walking distance. Apartment is fully furnished, comfortable and warm. Having a kitchen with toaster, hob, fridge, microwave and coffee machine meant we could prepare for race at our own pace. Lots of restaurants nearby to suit all tastes meant we didnt have to travel far in the evening.

This is a beautiful apartment owned by a thoughtful and responsive owner/manager. The apartment was spacious, clean, filled with amenities for a short or long stay. Highly recommended.

Huoneisto sijaitsi loistavalla paikalla. Läheltä löytyi useampi hyvä ravintola ja aivan vasta päätä loistava kauppa. Yhteydet metrolla ja bussilla myös aivan vierestä. Sekä lentoasemalle ja aivan keskustaan. Yhteyden pito omistajan kanssa oli todella hyvä. Voin lämpimästi suositella asuntoa!

Great Place, great location

We stayed 3 nights in this apartment and I would highly recommend it. It was very comfortable and had a well stocked kitchen. The location was outstanding. We were a block and a half from the Underground and very close to a stop where we could transfer to the Above ground or a bus. We had restaurants and coffee shops within a block and also a nice grocery store. We couldn't have asked for a better location. The owner was very responsive and easy to access. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a place to stay in Berlin.

Comfy/Cozy

If you're looking for a 5 star resort in Berlin this is not it, so you should move on. If you are looking for a place that is comfortable, affordable and near transit this will be perfect for you. We stayed here while visiting family and seeing the sights of Berlin. The owner was always prompt to responding to messages and even allowed us to check in early. Due to timing we never met up, but it was never necessary. I went in knowing that Berlin charges the fees for anyone staying separately and a cleaning fee- he has it listed and it was nothing crazy, based on a % of overall cost. We left it on the table and he was able to pick it up while we were exploring. The sofa pulls out and my brother stated it was comfortable- could have easily fit 2 people on it. Overall would highly recommend, my grandmother wanted to stay here this coming summer but there are no pets allowed so I had to tell her that wasn't feasible. My mom's cousin who lives in the area said it was a great deal and will recommend it to people coming to visit her (without pets).
