Cabin Rentals in Bertie County

"Roaches were very visible and to show you i am not just high maintenance, we didnt leave or demand a refund. They were teeny tiny roaches. We killed about 20, they were on the floor, desk, and bathroom. The check in was great and the guy offered a free up grade on the ground foor because he saw my mother was handicap. We declined because she is capable of going upstairs. The room is older and not pretty, old paint, clean furniture. We were looking for somewhere safe and close to downtown Edenton. If you are having a romantic getaway, this is NOT it. Breakfast was a loaf of bread,a turnstyle container of corn flakes, 3 ripe bananas, and a half gallon used milk and butter. We chose not to eat there. It was safe and quiet. There were used cans of modelo and cigerette butts in the stairwell the next morning when checked out but we didnt hear a peep. This was 5 min from all the places in downtown Edenton."

"Tv didn’t work - they changed us to a suite that had a tv that worked - very responsive Front desk person - pool was drained and Probably hasn’t been filled for awhile They should have mentioned that on the website before booking "

"Came her due to evacuation from Hurricane Erin. Ended up stayimg a week, but turned out to be quiet and relaxing stay. We enjoyed the free breakfasts and spend most days lounging by the pool. Entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our room was two queen beds and included a nice size refrigerator/freezer (not the usual mini fridge). Free breakfast was satisfying with omelets, sausage, oatmeal, cereals, yogurt, juice, bagels & breads, small scones, make your own waffles & fresh fruits. They even had To Go bags for those eating on the go. Hotel is a bit dated, but very clean and the welcoming staff was outstanding. If I need to stay in this area again I will definitely book a room here "

"Was not sure we were at the right place, except for the sign. Picture of office makes it look more spacious than the small area that it was. TV worked after new batteries were put in the remote. Man at the front was polite and helpful. One very thin towel and wash cloth along with a shampoo for each occupant. Toilet was very low to the ground and noisy when flushed. Several lights but lighting did not overlap so dark areas in the room. It was clean--no bed bugs. Refrigerator and AC worked. Did not try the microwave. One trashcan. Wall behind the door had hole where handle had gone into the wall with some force. Door was not easy to shut. Room not really ready for occupancy, but probably needed money to improve on it."
