"The rooms are unique. Comfortable and updated in an Art deco way. The pool is small and more set up to be something to congregate around and socialize. Definitely a younger crowd/influencer type, if that’s your thing. The valet is good, hard to find at first though on arrival. Expensive too, but overnight parking in this area is basically nonexistent so they get to charge as the market allows.The staff was friendly but the checkout person was a bit curt. I’d stay here again for the room,...

"We were in a second floor King Suite. Nice layout, but the bed was awful. It had a large sag in it. The feeling was it was downhill to your head. Breakfast was just ok. Clean, but not worth the $400 to have a place to stay for a doctors appointment at UCLA."

"We had a great stay. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the location was excellent. We especially enjoyed the games and common areas downstairs, which added a fun touch to our stay. Having a restaurant on-site was very convenient, and the complimentary Uber rides to nearby locations were a wonderful perk. Overall, a comfortable, convenient, and enjoyable experience, we would definitely stay here again."

"Hotel Carmel is a older style hotel right in the heart on Santa Monica, one street back from the beach, a 5 minute walk to the pier. A family owned and run establishment, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were nice and clean, just old. Tea, coffee and water provided which was a nice touch. Bed was a comfy king, spacious room. Unfortunately no view from our room but it was in a nice quiet location."
