"The room was lovely. Very clean. Lots of sachets for tea and coffee and biscuits. Comfy bed. Parking was just a cross the road. Breakfast was wonderful lots of choices. Staff were lovely and friendly."

"A wonderful dog friendly stay! The hosts are incredible and very friendly. The breakfast is plentiful, come hungry. The afternoon cake was a very nice and welcome touch. Ample parking as well, which can be a pain in Instow generally."
Hartland Quay Hotel

"We loved the friendly, open hearted staff. Our room was comfortable, and there was a lovely separate lounge with great views onto the sea. À nice little piano was sitting in there too, but it needs some TLC and à tune!"
The Wayfarer Inn

"Very nice room with sea view, unfortunately very steep stairs to get there and as suffering mobility issues, not the best, although staff were not aware. Breakfast excellent, and evening meal for 7 highly commented on favourably, hot plates and food. Unfortunately a bout of food poisoning occurred overnight, although the source cannot be confirmed but suspected. Would recommend and stay again. Chair to be placed in room in September after renovations will be a bonus."

"We had an absolutely fantastic stay! From the moment we arrived, Stephen gave us a warm, incredibly friendly welcome and made us feel right at home immediately. We stayed in Room 3, which was immaculately clean and thoughtfully equipped with absolutely everything we could possibly need. The kitchen area was a brilliant touch, and we absolutely loved the generously sized bathroom and superb shower. Thanks to the wonderfully peaceful and quiet location, we enjoyed a brilliant, uninterrupted night's sleep in the massive, comfortable bed. To top it all off, we were treated to an amazing breakfast every morning. We cannot recommend this place highly enough and are already looking forward to staying here again sometime."
