1. Chateau Big Bear Boutique Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Winter Park

"This was overall a good pick for Big Bear. The room and beds were comfortable, service was friendly, loved the live music in the Tiffany restaurant bar, and liked the location and adjacent walking path. We were lucky to have a room overlooking the back/pool. The meh: The bathroom needed a fix-up (damaged tub, for one), none of the updated electrical outlets would hold a USB charger, and the jacuzzi, which did have great jets, turned out to be a tepid tub (it had just been repaired, so maybe it...

7. Take a Break

Big Bear Central

"The location is great and centrally located near everything Big Bear has to offer. That said, the property felt under-equipped and poorly maintained. The kitchen item were as cheap as cheap could be and lacked. Several things were broken, such as the toilet seat and blinds. The hot water in the shower was not adequate. Towels, toiletries, were as cheap as kitchen. The bedding, and the bed were not comfortable. This place did not meet the cost. I actually chose to leave before my second night...
