I’ll be honest, when I saw the pictures online, I was a little nervous about the beds because they looked like they might be on the cheaper side… but wow, I was so wrong. The beds were unbelievably comfortable — high quality, cozy, supportive, and honestly some of the best sleep I’ve had on a trip. The whole place stayed warm and inviting. The cabin has everything you need: plenty of split units to keep the rooms cool, a full kitchen and full-size refrigerator, and the location is perfect for fishing. They even rent fishing poles and sell bait right in the office, which was super convenient. And one of my absolute favorite parts — the Key deer! They came up every night to visit. It was such a peaceful and magical experience to just sit outside and see them wandering right up near the cabin. It really made the stay feel special and memorable. The only hiccup we had was arriving at about 1:00 a.m. We were originally told we’d be in one building, but the room had been changed and we weren’t notified. It was a little stressful trying to figure out which door was ours in the middle of the night, but once we found the right cabin, everything else was perfect. Other than that hiccup, verything was greatl. We’ll 100% be staying here again the next time we’re in the Keys. This place is definitely a gem! Do be aware that you do have to climb a full set of stairs to get to the houses on stilts which are the duplexes.

Cabin we rented was elevated, and we did not know that. Having a handicap, made this more of a challenge than we expected on a vacation. Cabin was new and well furnished for cooking, sleeping and watching TV. Property construction in front of the cabin was somewhat of an eyesore, however. We never saw any activity, just piles of materials.

ENJOYED OUR STAY. BEDDING NEEDS ALOT OF IMPROVEMENT. ONE BEDROOM HAD AN OLD MATTRESS AND THE OTHER BED ONLY HAD A PAD OVER WOOD ! OUR HOUSEBOAT WAS OLDER AND NEEDED FLOOR REPAIRS. NICE PEOPLE, JIMMY HELPED WITH THE MARINA.

We liked seeing the key deer and the grass mat out front was soft on the feet. We arrived after the office closed and discovered the hot water was not turned on when we arrived so we had to figure out how to turn on with a switch. My brother-in-law figured this out. The water would go from cool to warm off and on during showers. Not sure why.

Hidden gem! We stayed here for two nights and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. From our arrival and meeting the wonderful office staff to departure, our visit was fantastic. Their location overlooks the water and the area made for great sunrise walks over the bridge. Looking forward to future visits!

Great and cool place to stay! everything was clean, and the check-in/out was so easy. Parking was available right in front of our unit, which was very convenient. The staff was lovely. Great location in Big Pine to explore the Keys. We loved the peaceful balcony. Highly recommended!
