Easy parking Did not use spa Owners away so could not get breakfast in but they recommended a cafe just down the road Was a bit unsure about the front door being unlocked but apparently most hotels and B & Bs do that nowadays Lovely place

I was extremely lucky to be allowed to check in a tad earlier than stated Outside of the building looks a little tired but there is parking outside for 4 cars however there is a road opposite that I parked in and had my partner pick up a couple days later . The area appears to be very nice. It was extremely easy to find from my journey from M5 . I enjoyed a little walk around the town . There’s a Tesco and a few charity shops and post office. My room was clean and had coffee making facilities. Guests have uses of a microwave

I stayed here for 3 nights - all separate bookings. Each room was clean and confortable. The guest house is within walking distance of Knowle High Street with shops and restaurants. It is an easy drive from the M42 and Birmingham airport/ NEC.

Everything is as described and Mary, the owner is super friendly and always available if you have any questions. Knowle is a relatively large historic village with an excellent selection of pubs and restaurants for its size.

Stay was OK but room was a bit tired, cup place mat cracked, mould in corner of shower and on wall and only partial hand rail on the stairs. Although sign outside Hotel said Bed and Breakfast there was no breakfast available. However lady host welcoming, carried my case upstairs and put fan heater in room as the room was cold. I would stay again but only if it remains significantly cheaper than Premier Inn.

Had a nice one night stay at Achill Guesthouse. Nice large room and en-suite. Excellent bedding and mattress - slept very well. Great shower in en-suite and huge, luxury bath sheet. Lots of nice home touches. Yards away from Knowle high street with it's many shops, bars and restaurants. Recommended. Thanks to Mary and team for a great welcome and lovely stay.

I arrived very late due to having a blow out on the motorway and the proprietor was very good when I let her know. The room was excellent, with the amenities I needed for a one night stopover on the way to a business meeting. I didn’t have breakfast, so can’t comment here. Likewise, I’m unable to say anything about eco-friendliness.

Great location

There’s room for 4 cars directly outside the property but as it’s in a nice residential area there was safe parking very close too. We only saw the staff briefly on arrival but she was very friendly and helpful. Good size clean room. Great location for us to go to the NEC. Lots of lovely places to eat in close walking proximity.

Airport stay

Check in was a slip of paper with my name telling me the key was in the door. The entrance was really shabby but the room was ok, but does smell of damp. As a place to sleep before an early flight, the location was good for the airport. Felt expensive for the standard. Wouldn’t stay again.

Wonderful

Very comfortable and welcoming. Lovely location with pub, restaurant and shops within 10 minute walk. Wonderful.
