On arrival the check in machine to operate the door cards seemed faulty & when I tried to enter my room the 2nd time, it didn't work, resulting in me seeking help. Eventually after 5 mins of them trying with the faulty machine it worked. Then I was awoken at 12.30am to a couple trying to enter my room, they didn't succeed the 1st time so after 5 mins had a second attempt to which I shouted through to them that they had awoken me & this room was occupied......bearing in mind this was a single occupancy room trying to be entered by a couple. Didn't have the best of sleeps after this had happened. Not a great stay but needed a room in the area for 1 night. Staff were friendly & the guy I spoke to when I checked out said he would look into my concerns from my stay. Room was ok, basic but had T.V, iron & ironing board, tea/coffee/milk, kettle, hot water, toilet roll. Shower worked fine & towels were clean. A few marks on the top of the duvet cover but pillowcases & undersheet looked clean.

Room Was good but loud music from bar
The room was good with a nice bathroom and Easy parking .But my room was above Bar so very loud so had to have TV on loud and you could not sleep until music finished after 2300

Quick one night stay
Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable bed, some bathroom tiles were not stable, no soap in bathroom. Apart from that, this was a good stay. Pub itself, felt the drinks had a bit more water.

Excellent 4 night stay room was just nice size for single en_suite .bed was comfortable .little bit of noise from downstairs b.but didnt bother me .wasnt excessive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good pub downstairs

Booked 3 rooms for staff members for a business trip and they had an absolutely horrible stay in the accommodation. On arrival, they were directed to the wrong rooms and one of them was directed into another building and just left there stranded with no indication of where to go. They made their way back to find out the room wasn't in the building where they were led to and just left. The rooms were dirty, there were no basics like shampoo, soap or hairdryers. Tiles and shower trays were broken, there was mould and leaks, the one room was next to the fire escape and the door handle was broken and so the wind blew in all night. One of the other rooms' doors were lower than the standard size door and this caused them to keep hitting their head. Above all else nobody could sleep due to the noise levels from the pub until early hours of the morning which as you can imagine was very frustrating after a long day on the road travelling. Definitely do not recommend and won't be back.

The place was dirty, and the room smelled of smoke. The room we were put into had stuff left over from work they had been doing in the room. They were paint pots, a power tool and ladder left in the room. The bed had dust on it and so did the window sill. The curtains also didnt close properly. The pub was still open downstairs when we arrived and we didnt feel comfortable complaining to the lady who checked us in.The whole place gives off workmen vibes and it was mainly men drinking so we also felt uncomfortable to complain due to this.

There were NO toiletries in the holders on arrival, half a roll of toilet roll to last us 2 nights, woken up at 7am by barrels moving in the pub, and 9am each morning by staff trying to enter our room despite knowing -FROM THEIR BOOKING SYSTEM- that we were there for 2 days, and checkout is 11am?! Beyond confused, appalled, and disappointed. A gorgeous, but disgustingly unclean building with cobwebs and black mold throughout the room, which complement the lovely 'mystery stains' on every wall. Can't believe they're still in business with such a horrible lack of care for seemingly any of their guests.

The worse place ever. Me and my husband stsyed there only for one night, just needed to bed to sleep really. So when booking anticipated that the room wouldn't be great and didnt expect five star comfort for £45. But what we saw was just outrages.Really dont think that room was even meant to be used for guests to stay. A massive damp patch on thr celling, stained carpet, mould in the shower, shower was leaking, so we had to slerp with the taping noise. Smell in the room..no doors on the wardrobe, just dirt everywhere....honestly this was just like frim the horror film...

The coach Hotel
Stayed in the honeymoon suite as it was the only room available. Room was large and reasonably clean. The 2 windows was old wooden windows which goes with the age of the property i know but they were very draftey and let a lot of road noise in. There was a roll top bath in the room but unfortunately no water came out the taps!!!... the bathroom had a large window with a blind which was moving with the wind coming through the window. Toilet seat was half hanging off and the bathroom was FREEZING really needs a radiator or heater.

Whilst the property overall was pleasant, the property at a detailed level was quite dirty - specifically the carpet, shower walls and tea cups were all dirty. In addition, the soap dispenser at the sink was empty and the fluid in the shower soap dispensers appeared to me more like water rather than soap. Finally, the hot tap on the toilet sink need to be repaired as it was loose.

First time I’ve ever had to leave a negative review. Booked this place as it was convenient for where I had plans. And all other reviews looked good! Booked 2 nights. It’s an old style pub, looks really nice on the outside. Friendly staff. The stairs are really steep! I was on the 3rd floor so a lot of steps, and really short ceilings I’m 5’8 and my husband is taller and we knocked ourselves a few times. The room on entrance smelt damp, there had been a leak pretty recently and the roof wasn’t painted over looked a mess. The bathroom soap dispenser fell off the wall, there was no toiletries in the shower, the shower had mould on the shower head itself and on the frame. The window is an old sash window and it didn’t open or shut properly and wasn’t keeping the heat in. Both nights we was there they had a lock inn, so people screaming around till 3am, not possible to sleep. The quilt was a thin summer one and in this winter weather not suitable.

Lovely old inn doing some renovations, but not a problem. Big beautiful room with new bathroom renovation, just lovely staff and friendliness from the pub crowd when I wandered through--would go back in a heartbeat.
