"The Carrick exceeded our expectations in many ways. We were concerned about parking, especially as the website said there was limited parking at the hotel. Perhaps our visit was at a less popular time of year (5/10 -5/12), but there was ample space opposite. Check-in was super easy. Even though we were an hour early, we were greeted at the lobby with a smile and the key to our room. The latter turned out to be an apartment for four! We should have realized that the 640 sq.ft. advertised was more than a bedroom with an attached bathroom! With the fully-fitted kitchen, we were in pig heaven. The deck was large, too, and looked to the hills of Bisbee. It was a glorious spot to relax on a warm day in May.
The Carrick's location was perfect. We ambled to and up Main Street during our visit and popped into everything open! Younger folk would go further but we knew what toll it would take us to face the steps and hill going back to the Carrick.
I had read the reviews online - particularly about breakfast. There is no dining room at the Carrick but the assortment of goodies left out for guests as breakfast/snack items cannot be faulted. All kinds of candies/cookies and drinks, too, were available free of charge in the Reception Lobby.
The Carrick itself is an older, renovated property. It certainly passed muster as to cleanliness, but with older properties, there's always more that can be done. All in all, it was a great place to stay. Highly recommend!"
