"My husband has family/friends in Alpena so we make trip up there from Allegan usually every year and its coming tradition to stay in the familt suite at the Lodge. I know its for families but its perfect for us. Plenty of space. Has the feeling of being in your little apartment since I cant stand hotels. The big bear lodge is affordable, clean, comfy and quiet. Never have any issues. Sleep perfectly. Its conveniently located near restaurants and shopping and the lake. Absolutely love it. Highly recommend"
