We stayed in room 303. There was myself, husband and 2 boys. The room wasnt in the best condition. It was very very dated, as was the whole hotel. The wall paper was hanging off the wall, looked like it was due to damp, there were damp patches on the ceiling, cobwebs hanging from the light fittings in the room and in the bathroom.
The double bed was not very comfortable and the pillows were horrible.
The bathroom was ok. It was stuck together in various places with silicone to patch up mouldy areas. It was not cleaned the next day when our room was made up.
We had a good view of the river.
The price charged for the rooms do not reflect the standard of the hotel at all.
The spa on the other hand is lovely.
Its a million miles away from the rest of the hotel.
The downside of this, is having to access the spa via going through the restaurant passed diners in the hall and bar area.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but the hotel needs a major update and clean in order to keep charging the prices they do.
