"No bellman at the property. To say it is near the airport is to describe "2-3 miles and a 15 minute bus ride" as "near". The bus drops you off quite a distance from the terminal, so if you have a large number of bags, or it is raining, be prepared. Service was indifferent. The bus to the airport was packed, and they did not depart until every bit of space was either occupied by a bag or a standing person. "It was a great basic stay during our layover. The room was quiet even for being so close to the airport. We walked over before we knew there was a shuttle. Our bathroom was a little cramped and awkward but it was mostly a great stay."

"We were very pleased with our stay at the Ashling hotel. Everything was very clean, the bed was particularly comfortable, and the towels were luxuriously thick. Their breakfast buffet had many delicious choices and there was even free ice cream available in the lobby. My only complaint was with the low capacity flushing of the toilet. I don’t think any water was saved when multiple flushing was required."

"Taxi driver warned us that this hotel was in an undesirable neighborhood but we didn’t walk around the place to confirm. We stayed for a short layover on Aer Lingus, and enjoyed an evening in Dublin just a short taxi ride away."

"Very small basic room but had everything needed. Staff were all very friendly and helpful and hotel was great for leaving luggage due to late flight. Free coffee in reception although no one pointed this out to us and so didn't know until day we departed! Although it is classed as city centre, it was a good 20min walk to Temple Bar area but only 10mins to Guinness Factory and there is a tram stop about 2mins down the road. Air conditioning was a god send in the heatwave."
