"Initial front-desk employee was nice and welcoming. Morning employee wasn't rude, more like he just couldn't be bothered with me. The accommodations are great. Ridiculous to charge a parking fee for a lot that is only for the hotel but such is. The sofa bed was horrible, FYI. Most are anymore but every move made ridiculous noises and I couldn't get away from the springs. Other than that, it was a great room. Super nice shower with AWESOME water pressure. The kitchenette was furnished enough with the basics. The coffee maker didn't work. And someone had put a bag over the smoke detector, to which I informed the employee about. He looked at me like I was crazy until I showed him the photo I took. He said "housekeeping will get it"...obviously not if it was there when we got in the room. Whatever, my point was to let them know it wasn't us. Despite these few minimal things, I'd definitely stay there again if in the area."

"The room was very spacious and comfortable. It was clean and stayed clean thanks to the daily maid service. The bathroom was practical, with sink/mirror separate from toilet/shower. . Hot water was very hot and shower pressure was strong. Drains were fast. The room was quiet and well insulated from noise from other rooms. The gym was pretty large."

"Very handy for Dulles. We had a good stay, shuttle very efficient as were the staff. Decent buffet breakfast. Our top floor room suffered from a loud AC roof unit which affected our sleep. A very good option for Dulles"

"The Salamander resort is breathtaking! Spectacular property. The staff was always willing to answer questions or to help in any way possible. Our room was clean and very comfortable. I was so happy to see that it is pet friendly. My only complaint was that guests left their dogs in their rooms while they were out. I heard a few dogs that were clearly distressed at being left alone. As a dog owner, it really upset me. The guests should be required to not leave their pets alone."
