Neutral about this hotel. We like that it was quiet and the breakfast was good and filling for only 5.50$. The coffee was not that strong. The rooms are very hot and humid and the small fans above the headboard is not substantial enough to cool you off or offer a small breeze. The whole hotel is very cute with it's colors and hammocks. The private beaches are great also, although you cannot swim in them. The payment method was kind of confusing and there is a 5% charge for using credit cards which was indicated in the confirmation email. They encourage you to pay cash, which isn't feasible if staying a few days, if you don't have that much cash handy. We wish we had a rental car, due to it's remoteness as it would have saved on taxi and bus fares. Nonetheless and bus come salmost ever 30min and is only 3$ to town.

This place is disgusting there’s bugs everywhere the food sucks. Everyone i talked to who stayed there had gotten sick including myself. They also charge for everything including water or even an extra pandcake for breakfast that only includes 3 very thin pancakes. I highly reccomend you don’t stay here it will definitely make your stay in bocas a miserable experience. If you do end up staying here go into the guest kitchen downstairs at 12 at night to see hundreds of cockroaches crawling all over the counter and floor.

Horrible experience, try to cancel second night!

The place is old and outdated, nothing what shown on the pictures. This is nothing like a get away place we were hopping for. Our room was like a dorm, one small twin bed and couple single beds. We booked a private room. Place is full of insects and you have a wasp welcoming you before yo go to bed. They are nasty bugs everywhere and place is stinky and filfy. Also the door to your room is a glass door, so forget about night sleep. The light and generator is on all night. We try to cancel second night but they did not allowe us.

Fabulous place

Fantastic scenery all around, very close to the mazing play bluff beach and a quirky inviting decor at the property itself. Its a $15-20 taxi ride from town centre in Jan 2018. Though there is a bus service too. Excellent staff, very attentive and responsive. Mary who runs the place is a great source of excellent tips about what to do fun Bocas and is also most helpful. I had a very pleasant and memorable time there!

Crashing waves

It's an ecolodge so as long as you are aware what one of those is you will enjoy your stay. We enjoyed being somewhere quiet away from the noise of town; bluff beach is beautiful and close enough to walk to; lazing in their hammocks. Room was a bit stuffy. The fans didn't help cool us too much but we enjoyed sleeping to the sounds of crashing waves.

fall asleep to the sound of waves

We stayed here for two nights (we booked three nights to begin with). The reason for cancelling the last night was because of the distance from everything (had to take a cab TO the Hotel after 16.00 which cost $15). Approximately 15-20 minutes to the city. The room had holes in the wall- perfect entrance for bugs and lizzards (they are cute though). The room had two small fans. Clean room. Lovely shower with a view! Could not sleap because of the waves hitting the rocks beneath us and because of the dogs who lives there were barking a lot. The wi-fi only worked in the restaurant area. Food was great! The service was splendid! The woman who worked there was super friendly and always helped us out. She would definitely be one of the reasons of going back! A tips: buy water before you go here ($5 for one big water).

"Hidden Treasure"

We had a great stay at Tesoro Escondido. This is the perfect spot to relax away from the crowds with beautiful beaches at your door step. The room was spacious and clean. The couple taking care of the lodge is very friendly and they always make sure you have everything you need. Last but not least, their home cooking was delicious!

Un ECO-lodge simple et environnement magnifique

Nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par un couple d'italiens qui s'occupent de l'établissement. Très disponibles, patients malgré notre anglais/espagnol moyens, ils ont été très professionnels et adorables. Le restaurant est parfait et propose des plats maisons, des petits déjeuners fraichement préparés, des smoothies excellents ... L'établissement est simple mais très joli et très bien placé pour ceux qui recherchent la quiétude et aiment être proche de la nature (océan, jungle, animaux). Mais il ne faut pas oublier que c'est un ECO-lodge. .Nous avons regretté de ne pas avoir une ventilation efficace dans notre chambre (sans parler de climatisation). Il faut aussi savoir que le ménage n'est pas fait pour un court séjour (3 nuits pour nous).

Good hotel, excellent location for surfers

Our stay was nice, the hotel is located in between three of the main surf spots on the island.
