"As a regular staying at Essentia in Dumaguete, Charos dormitel is a breath of fresh air !! Outstanding room, staff, restaurant and not so many guests (not crowded like Essentia) ! I agree with other travelers reviews now ! This was a 5 star experience for one night stay. Definitely will return in the near future😀 "

"The staff struggled to find my reservation then told me our room was occupied and we need to pick a different room. rooms were not ready during their check in time. we found cockroaches and large spiders in the room when we finally got in. we left immediately. "

Food is standard - variety of egg preparation - omelet and hardboiled, then mix of corned beef, hotdogs/sausages bread with spreads (butter, fruit jams). coffee is available. Dining area is so crowed on the days i stayed because the guests who were attending conference, students on tour are mixed to the regular visitors/tourists that at some point, you cannot anymore find seats. "It was a very nice place to stay out side of the city. Veiws are beautiful easy access to the ocean. Down side pool needs to be open later then 7:30 because of location there not much to do once it gets dark. I would definitely stay there again. "

"There is NO airport shuttle at this resort. You're on your own getting there from Dumaguete. Fortunately, it is only a two minute walk from the fast craft port to the hotel. Also, they do not accept credit cards at this hotel. Cash only. Important to know, as there are not many restaurants nearby, other than the one on the property. Enjoyed the stay and open air dining. Nice staff. There is even a scooter rental place nearby."
