Surf City Inn - Near Seal Beach Pier

"We stayed here at the surf City inn for 3 nights. The rooms were clean the mattresses were comfortable there is no elevator at this hotel as it is an old building that has been renovated. To get to any of the rooms you have to climb at least three flights of stairs and if you're on the top floor make it for flights of stairs. The owners were friendly and helpful and they needed coffee and an extra towels but I wouldn't stay here again because the stairs were brutal after going up and down with suitcases. We did find a small bug on the sheet of my wife's bed and could not identify it but we don't think it was a bed bug we think it might have been a small baby Roach. Overall I would give it a b- 4 score"

"Excellent location, very clean hotel and responsive staff made our stay wonderful. A huge thank you to Front Desk Supervisor Richard B. for stopping what he was doing to fix the lock on our door. As mother and daughter traveling together we were concerned when our door would not lock. Richard tried to find us another room but the hotel was all booked up. Richard was knowledgeable and had the tools necessary to fix the door so that we could sleep safely. I highly recommend this hotel!"
