"I was in a standard room. Felt safe, slept well. Modern bathroom, very good shower. Surprised no mini fridge - staff confirmed standard rooms do not have fridges. Air Con wasn’t working. Breakfast was plentiful, good selection of hot and cold, though quality is standard, not luxurious . Staff at reception and in breakfast room were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. "

"The staff and service at the guesthouse was very accommodating. My room was a nice size. It was clean, but I cleaned it more to my liking. One thing that was bothersome was, the other guests weren't as courteous and therefore nights early mornings weren't so peaceful. "

"Stayed at the Black Dog Inn in Bolton for two nights. The room itself was comfortable enough for the price, so no major complaints there. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The first night was a write-off in terms of sleep. Staff gave a late booking to a couple who had been drinking in the pub, and they stayed up most of the night with the TV on at a very high volume.
