"I'm trying to give an honest review of Pink Lagoon. I booked on expedia for next day so that hindered their normal routine of emailing arrival instructions; however, they didn't try and contact me via expedia, nor answered the phone until well after check in. The room had a lot of ants. I found bug spray in a cabinet but then I couldn't stay in the room for the smell of the spray for hours. The bathroom smelled of sewer so I had to keep that room closed off and window open. The countertop stove never worked. No instructions were provided for any of the appliances. I never was able to get the microwave to work other than to heat up a pizza (2 hours). The cushions for the outside seating area were dirty from the birds. I love Bonaire's water normally but after the first day of drinking the water at Pink Lagoon I had intestinal issues and had to buy water. I've never had this issue on Bonaire, nor the week prior at another apartment. There was no local tv. Just netflix that someone left their password loaded on the tv. Prime streaming if you had your password.
If this had been my first experience on Bonaire I would have been greatly disappointed. It was a basic room (studio), the price was right, but I was hoping for a better overall experience. I would not recommend this hotel. Even with no front desk, they could have provided better, cleaner, service of their rooms. The staff did work well with me once they answered the phone. I should have complained while there."
