My husband and I went to the Dive shop on Sunday morning to rent equipment and tanks. There was a large group there, we were told we needed to talk to Sarah since we were not with them & she would help us. Sarah's help was looking irritated & saying "You're not diving here this week. We booked the whole shop out and if you would have called we would have told you" We were shore diving, all we needed was to rent equipment & tanks, she just looked at us, shook her head, then said "You can go over to Carib Sea. Maybe they can do something for you". Two other guests had booked through their travel agent & had a dive package; they were also turned away. A reservation meant nothing & her attitude was unnecessary. Shout out to Carib Sea, they are FANTASTIC. As an Expedia VIP member, we were given a $70 room credit. Divi gave us a card for the room upon check-in & a note telling us of the $70 credit. At checkout I received a bill for the $70 we spent at the restaurant. I reminded her of the voucher. She said "Well we haven't received the money from Expedia for anyone that has that." She just kept repeating that, and when I told her I have a card from Divi Flamingo saying we have a $70 credit, she rolled her eyes, took the paper & said "Fine, I'll make a note of it". You do that lady. The resort is kept up & clean, but if you want to dive at this DIVE resort, make sure you call ahead & carefully check your bill at the end. We will not be back.

The resort was exactly what I was looking for: AI and close to the main town. I could walk to town every day, which was great — lots of restaurants and food options really close, so AI was just an option I enjoy having in vacation. The entire resort didn’t classify as AI, it’s an added option, which was interesting to navigate and understand… But I got the hang of it after a few days. I felt like the “off the menu” food options were really great quality, the buffet was just ok. My room was pretty dated and could use an upgrade. Besides the rooms, the resort is pretty clean and well taken care of. The pool and beach areas were clean. I was hesitant about the “lack of” a beach area I read of in reviews before booking. There is a beach, it’s a little rocky, but it works perfectly fine for daily snorkelling and just chilling in the ocean. One thing I was blown away with was how safe and comfortable I felt on the property. I would snorkel for hours, at times, and leave my stuff on a beach chair. But the same can be said for the entire island. Also, it was really cool to see how close Klein Bonaire was to the main island. It was beautiful to look at at sunset during dinner every night.

-1 restaurant and 1 buffet on location. 2 bars. Breakfast is served buffet style every morning. We were all-inclusive, so our meals were never charged, but you still signed the receipt so I was aware of costs. Most every meal will run you about $30 for food and beverage a person. It is an easy 10-minute walk from the resort to downtown Kralendijk for fun souvineer shopping and wonderful gelato at Gios. Well worth the walk. The property has 2 huge pools. 2 hot tubs outside the studio rooms. Our studio room #714 was equipped nicely with 2 queen beds, a tiny shower bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen including stocked cabinets for 4 people, and including a roll of paper towels and a full size coffeemaker with coffee packets. The ac is a min split unit that doesn't always cool at a comfortable low, but that may be just that room. I tried lowering the temperature but just managed to have the room more damp. But there is lots of closet and dresser space. The resort is geared toward scuba divers and their daily outings, therefore, it is not a 5-star resort for pampering. We are snorkelers and had the best swims along the Calabas Reef literally off the property beach. We rented a car for the day from Hertz at the resort for less than$100 fully insured. We easily drove both the north and south loops of the island. The salt pier with its salt ponds and the donkey sanctuary are worth the side trip to see along with the slave huts and beautiful waters on both sides of the island.

Really great resort, our room was a little outdated with some wear and tears. But it was clean, the staff was friendly and they are actively working on the property daily. The larger rooms looked really nice though when we passed them, the location is perfect though you can walk into downtown and so many small places right by the resort!

The property was great. The wait staff was hit and miss. You either had an excellent waiter/waitress or a bad one. One meal we got appetizers and meal at once. One meal I got part of a meal and parts (sides) either never came or came after I had finished. With regards to the room, if I didn't put the card out to clean the room, it didn't get cleaned. When it did get cleaned, sometimes we got clean towels, other times we didn't. Little things like that but you pay good money so its expected. We were all inclusive but when I got my bill, 3 meals were charged for some unknown reason and had to be taken off. The pure essence spa, if you are getting a facial, its excellent. If you are getting a manicure, it will depend on who you get. My friend got a manicure and 5 of her nail coverings came off within 4 days. Other than those things, the vacation was great..beautiful town and location is very convenient.

But the room we got was in very bad condition: - the patio door didn't open and we had to use side sliding panel to get to the patio - AC didn't work and it was only fixed on Monday, we spent 1st night in uncomfortably hot room, they moved us for another room for the second night - the phone initially didn't work until they replaced it WHY THEY DIDN'T CHECK THE ROOM CONDITION BEFORE THE BOOKING?

Prima kamer alleen een overdekt balkon met uitzicht op zee, prachtig maar daar stond de afvoer van de airco en dit maakt het bloedheet dat is jammer. Verder alles top prima locatie in 5 min lopen naar centrum kralendijk. Taxi voor verdere stukken prijs is altijd standaard 15 dollar.

Dining options were very confusing. It says to make reservations, but no one ever checked to see that we had a reservation. At the breakfast buffet, we walked in and sat down on the first 4 days and they did not want to take our room number. On the 5th day, the hostess stopped us and insisted we give our room number. She was abrasive about it and when we explained, she said "then I need to talk with my fellow employees." We booked a king size room, but got two queen beds. The response from the front desk was that they had very few king rooms, and the Expedia choice of a king was only a "request" and not a confirmed choice. The room had some mold in the shower and floor frequently had some sand even though they attended to the room every day. It is a nice, calm place, but don't expect any high-end amenities.

There was no bottled water in the room ( as usual) was told by front desk that they could not provide to drink from the sink. Overall ok but I wish VIP perks were delivered.

Air conditiner was broke. We checked in late, unpacked 4 bags that we halled down stairs and discovered broken air conditiner late in evening after room was not cooling down. It could not be repaired. Choice was to repack, hall bags upstairs and over to next hall and down stairs to new room while missing our diving thst was scheduled or live with a hotntoom. Since this was our last 3 nights of our vacation we stayed in the room with broken air conditioning so we didnt miss our pre scheduled island eve ts.
