Wir waren mit dem Motorrad unterwegs und haben hier in Bormio eine Nacht verbracht. Einen kostenloses Tiefgaragenstellplatz erhielten wir ohne Nachfrage. Freundlicher Empfang und schneller checkin. Unser Zimmer mit Balkon zur Bergseite war top, lediglich die Matratzen sind sehr hart. Etwas umständlich das Servieren des Frühstücks durch das Personal - kein Buffetzugang für Gäste. Der Wellnessbereich wird nur stundenweise reserviert. Wir hatten Glück und erhielten einen freien Slot.Insgesamt Top! Würden gerne wieder kommen und können das Haus empfehlen.

Excellent Hotel offering quality service

While our stay got off to an unusual start with us being assigned a room other than the one we thought we had booked, our stay at the hotel was extremely comfortable and I was especially impressed with the level of friendly service. The room we were eventually assigned was immaculately clean and comfortable and had an impressive view over Bormio's Stelvio piste. There is a great pool available even in winter and a ski room for those who need to prepare skis. I was particularly impressed with the dinner option, which we used a couple of times. The food was of excellent quality and value for money and the serving staff were extremely helpful and patient with some rather difficult clientele (bravo!) Would I use this hotel again? Yes, most certainly.

Abbiamo soggiornato 3 notti per andare ai Bagni Vecchi di Bormio e a Livigno. L'albergo è situato in una posizione strategica: a due passi dal centro a allo stesso tempo proprio ai piedi delle piste. La nostra camera infatti aveva un grazioso balconcino dotato di sdraio e tavolino che si affacciava proprio ai piedi della montagna...è stato un sogno svegliarsi così la mattina! L'intero personale è molto gentile e disponibile, la colazione a buffet è abbondante con ampia scelta a disposizione, e l'hotel dispone inoltre di sauna e bagno turco, zona relax, piscina, palestra e deposito sci completamente gratuiti e a disposizione degli ospiti. Su richiesta, inoltre, la struttura è a completa disposizione per prenotare la giornata alle terme con una piccola scontistica. Tornerò sicuramente alla prima occasione utile :)

Perfect spring ski/spa break

We chose Bormio for a spring ski/spa break. The Hotel Funivia was just a delightful place from start to finish. Great accommodation with balcony and view of the slopes - the lift is just a few yards away. Staff were very helpful and the hotel quiet. Standard was very good overall and for breakfast, there was a very good choice. We dined in for one evening for a three course meal with buffet salad and were really amazed by the value > A definite find and place to go for the future - Bormio and surrounding region is a fantastic area.

Best place to stay if you're riding the Stelvio!

I stayed at the Hotel Funivia in late May, 2018 so as to ride the Stelvio and various surrounding mountains. Their set up for cyclists is fantastic, with a secure bike room, laundry service and snacks provided pre and post ride. The Stelvio Experience rides are located in the same building, and Spot-On Bikes is nearby providing excellent bike rental or mechanic services. They make it very easy to get yourself organised to ride, and the guided/supported group rides are fantastic.

Superb hotel for a cycling break.

Great location in the mountains. We went for a cycling trip and they were exceptionally helpful with bike hire, even lending us water bottles and a helmet that we had left at home. I recommend Hotel Funivia very highly.

Ottimo albergo per sciatori e non

L’albergo e’ situato in una posizione strategica, ai piedi delle piste e allo stesso tempo a due passi dal cuore di bormio. Personale gentile e disponibile, ottima cucina e servizi molto buoni. Dotato anche di piscina riscaldata sauna e bagno turco, ideale per rilassarsi dopo una giornata sulle piste. La stanza e’ un po piccola, ma per chi vuole sciare lo spazio non serve. Di sicuro tornerò. La possibilita’ di prenotare la scuola sci e di acquistare lo skipass direttamente in albergo e’ un grosso vantaggio.... splendida vacanza

Jen jsme projížděli, vyjeli jsme na Stelvio ( v polovině září napadl sníh,jezdila i lanovka) a navštívili jsme staré lázně Termali Vecchio. Obojí nás nadchlo. Hotel je staršího data, (ale čistý a příjemný), velmi milý a ochotný personál, skvělá restaurace.

Cycling Mecca

If you are a road cyclist this hotel can't be beat. Stay here and tackle the Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo. You just can't go wrong staying here. It appears there are other options in Bormio that may match Funivia but I don't see how any can beat it. The place is crawling with MAMILs (Middle Aged Men in Lycra). Only negative is the mattresses and pillows are only slightly softer than the surrounding granite peaks... very much a typical Italian hotel in that respect.
