"The location was somewhat central for our day trips to La Jolla and Coronado Island, which was great. It felt like everything was not too far away from the hotel. That staff were friendly, professional and efficient. The area outside the hotel seems to not be in the best area. There were always more homeless people in this area than I saw anywhere else. Even the nearby CVS had heightened security with a guard at the door and every (and I mean EVERY) item locked up. We enjoyed our stay and never...

"We absolutely loved this hotel. The location was perfect within walking distance to the Rady Shell where we were seeing John Mullany and the waterfront in general. The hotel itself was clean and absolutely beautiful. That chandelier! Then there was the food! Room service was some of the very best we've ever had. "From the front desk, to the restaurant, to the cleaning staff, everyone was vibrant and friendly. The property is well kept and a popular place for the afterwork drinks. The food at Trade, the onsite dining, was tasty and it was among the first lobby restaurants that I frequented througout my 4 day stay. The valet service is a little expensive, but convenient. I highly recommend a stay at the Republic."
