"Friendly staff. Excellent food offering. Good location. A shame about my shower control falling apart and an extractor unit that looked as though it had seen better days. In the heat, the air conditioning in the room was excellent and very welcome. It would have been nice if it had operated throughout the hotel. I will be happy to stay there again"

"The property is simply stunning! I have been to the Cotswolds many times over the years however this was a first for my partner who found the area breathtaking. The highlight of her few days here was the hotel. Every aspect of the hotel was faultless and will certainly return for a longer stay."

"Fantastic place let down somewhat by breakfast. Lackluster buffet crammed in so tightly on the table that it is a nightmare for people with food allergies. Cooked to order meals lukewarm. I have to say dinner the night before was amazing and the room was excellent."

"Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. "The dining room tables weren't right down enough there was constantly ants and other bugs frequently crawling on the table. Management did not provide fans in the dining room when it was severely hot weather."

"Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. "Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."

"Although the property is about 30 minute walk from the city center and no central AC is in your room, the quiet neighborhood and guaranteed peace and quiet is a great perk. There are fans provided to stay cool in the summer time. If you’re driving, they have parking guaranteed for guests and the gentleman at the reception desk was an outstanding host. The room was extremely clean, comfortable and luxurious. Lastly, their breakfast was lovely. I highly recommend this property."

"Everything about this charming countryside retreat was what we hoped for and more. The staff was a welcoming and alsways there to help. The food was delicious and better than we expected. Our room generously sized, modern and comfortably appointed. (We did request a fan though as there’s no air conditioning, and the staff was quick to oblige.)
