"We had a wonderful week. Maria and her husband are fantastic hosts. Throughout the week they checked everything was alright and asked if we needed anything. The breakfasts that Maria delivered every day were fabulous, plentiful and freshly prepared. We had freshly prepared tarts, fruit, homemade jams etc. The house is perfect for two, set in beautiful gardens, with the use of a small swimming pool.We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we visited the same area in the future. "Beautiful historic location with a very kind owner. We really enjoyed the buffet breakfast. We assumed that breakfast was included with the rate for the room, and discovered when we checked out that we owed €17 per person per breakfast."

"We stayed here on our drive home to UK from Spain, so after a long day in the car it was a delight to arrive at this hotel and be greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. Our room was perfect, with direct garden access for us and our dog. Dinner was a small menu of dishes made with fresh local ingredients and was delicious. We would definitely stay again and would recommend this hotel and it’s tranquil setting."

"Staff was great; kind and very helpful. They offered a free buffet breakfast which was ample and good. The room, although a bit dated, was clean, comfortable and in working order. The location is on the Loire du Velo bike trail, near vineyards and wineries and less than 10 minutes from Chinon city center. Realize that this is an old manor so enjoy the charm and ambiance. "

"The room was spacious and clean. Night time is quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was adequate. I prefer more fruits and vegetables. Besides a visit to the Château d’Azay-le-Rideau, you can take day trips to other castles. We rented e-bikes in Amboise and rode to Château de Blois and back. Drive t, about 1 hour each way."
