"Hotel is very hot during summer time as they do not have aircond. If we open the window all the flies are coming in. Old hotel, no elevator. Away from the city center."

"The hotel does not have AC. When we asked about AC, they said they would see if they could give us fans. We ended up leaving because it was 89 degrees Fahrenheit, and they offered to reimburse us for 1% of the expense (city taxes). The location was nice, but the hotel is outdated for the price"

"Due to my late arrival and early departure, I did not interact directly with staff, only through messaging. However, they were VERY attentive and super helpful. The room and facility were clean and organized. It’s not the newest place in the world, but is very well kept and quite charming. I had absolutely not complaints. With the recent heat wave, the fan that was in the room was a welcome treat! Thanks for a very pleasant stay!!"

"Eiger Lodge is a decent option if you’re mainly looking for a place to sleep while exploring the area. The location is convenient, especially for accessing the lifts and trains, but the overall experience was fairly basic. The rooms were clean, but the amenities and comfort didn’t quite match what I expected for the price. It wasn’t a bad stay, but I think there’s room for improvement."

"Very nice location. Right in the center of the city. What is very special for us is there are super market and laundry just next to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpfull for us. would be great if the aircon is cooler. Sadly we stay there when heat wave happen in Europe. So the AC doesnt good enough. Other thing is, would be good if there is fridge on the room. Other than that, i would still reccomend people to stay here."

"Stayed July 2026 for 3 nights in a 2 twin room option. The room was small but it was sufficient for us. We were out most of the day so we really just needed a place with good breakfast and decent bed to sleep at. We chose to stay at Derby primarily for location and easy access to transportation. The staff was friendly, helpful and made recommendations how we can change our itinerary due to rain. The breakfast was sufficient and good variety.
