"When we arrived the receptionist was talking with a guest, we weren’t even acknowledged, the conversation went for nearly 5 minutes, not a good start. Our room was lovely until my husband laid down in bed and I went into the bathroom, the bathroom fan has been placed in the cavity just above the bed and was vibrating the whole wall. This meant everytime the lights were turned on in the bathroom the noise above the bed happened, this is a huge problem, as I get up to go the bathroom 2-3 times a night and couldn’t turn the light on as it would vibrate the wall and wake my husband. The toilet roll is so far away I couldn’t reach it, the shower needs shelves in it, nowhere to put your products, oh and don’t forget "

"We stayed for two nights at Drift House in Port Fairy and had a somewhat mixed experience. The accommodation itself is absolutely stunning — beautifully designed, comfortable, and thoughtfully put together. It really feels like a special place to stay. We also dined in the restaurant and the meal was beautiful, with high-quality food and a great atmosphere. The staff we encountered were friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, our overall experience was soured by our interactions with the owner, which left us feeling uncomfortable and somewhat judged during our stay. It’s a shame, as Drift House has so much going for it and is in such a gorgeous location. Port Fairy is a stunning town and well worth visiting. With a different tone set at the top, this could have been an exceptional stay."

"The hotel is lovley, beautifully appointed room with quality bed and linen. We ate at the resturant and the food was top class. It's not cheap, but I felt it was worth it."

"Excellent location, country space and setting but only a short drive to nearby towns and beaches. Cabin had all the facilities we needed and most importantly, we could bring our dog. We stayed in the off-season, so it was very quiet and peaceful – exactly what we were after. Hosts were a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely stay again!"

"The hotel was centrally, located very close to everything within walking distance. The room was on the smaller side and the finishing a little bit dated. Otherwise pretty much functional and suitable for a one night stay. there was plenty of parking. "
