"The room was not properly cleaned and, in all likelihood, had not been for some time. Shards of broken glass were scattered around on the floor, shower cubicle was very slippery as had not been properly cleaned beyond a cursory wipe-over. Somehow the front desk staff were critical of US for not notifying them earlier - not a very friendly or empathetic response."

"Good location. Hated the port hole window in the bedroom. It allowed light in room early in the morning. Hardly ideal for a holiday lie-in/sleep-in. The complimentary snacks were appreciated."

"My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at Aloha. Check in was a breeze, the staff were lovely and the rooms were well decorated. We loved the room had both aircon and a ceiling fan and came with additional extras such as a nice beach bag and beach towels. The shared kitchen was an absolute treat too as we didn’t realise we would have access to free breakfast and bottled water! It’s in a great location with a short walk to the beach and town. "Do not book the Studio room! Upgrade to the Villa or don’t stay here. The Studio rooms are barely bigger than a prison cell and are nowhere near 5 star hotel quality. The property is neat and the staff are so nice. Just don’t book the Studio rooms. "

"Stayed in deluxe room with own en-suite. Room was clean & comfortable. Ideal for my short-term stay (3 nights), albeit a little expensive for a hostel. Had to close bathroom door overnight as fan would stay on for some reason which was loud. Didn’t use the facilities on site but staff seemed friendly & overall the building was well maintained. Pool also looked clean but didn’t use it. "
