Ace Hotel Brooklyn

6/10 Okay

"My main issue inside was mugs not being refreshed or cleaned over the entire four nights. One of them chipped. Just not what I’d expect having stayed at The Ace in Manhattan quite a few times. Rooms are a decent size and beds very comfortable. We stayed with our two children. Love the atmosphere in the hotel but location is grim. Cool shops and restaurants a couple of blocks across but immediate vicinity is dirty and full of intimidating characters at all times of day."

"Industrialist is a boutique hotel that is well located in Brooklyn, near the Union St Subway station. Travelers should know that rooms are small, yet practical. I thought for the price, it was a good deal. The coffee shop across the street is very good, and within a mile radius you have restaurant options. As with all NYC hotels, walls are thin."

"Overall good stay. Bed was quite used and had some sunken parts from body weight. Carpet was a bit nappy on the feet, so I put down a towel to step onto. Doors closing sound is loud even if you try to close it slowly. This is for all rooms, so I could hear all neighboring doors close. I didn't mention it due to staying only one night. If I was staying longer, I would have asked to change rooms. Blackout shades were good. But it is on a busy street and there were loud car alarms in the middle of the night. Great location is great near lot of subway stops. Good bagel shop a few doors down."

"The hotel has a clean, modern vibe... not stuffy at all... the staff without exception were excellent! Helpful, friendly and they all remembered me and my sister throughout our stay. We were staying at the Indigo for a wedding nearby and the staff went out of their way to let us have an early check-in to prepare for the wedding. Even the other guests at the hotel were super friendly and helped us navigate the key cards required for the elevator. We highly recommend the Hotel Indigo and will stay there again the next time we're in Brooklyn!"
