"The Hotel is brand new and the room was well appointed and clean. Our room was on the 4th floor and the highway noise kept me up all night. Maybe better windows would help cut down on the noise?"

"There are limited hotel options in Merced and most are close to the freeway. HIE was nice, clean and convenient with limited traffic noise. I don’t have high expectations for free hotel breakfast but here it was pretty good. Lots of choices. Biscuits were fantastic and the bacon was crispy! Lots to of parking and the area seemed a lot safer than the hotels on Motel Row. A lot quieter than the El Cap, which we love. If you are coming up to UC Merced, this is not a bad choice."

"We had a room upstairs. Inside the room we had 3 beds. Which worked out for us because we had 4 people. We didn’t get to use the pool but it goes to 8 feet. There is a nice swing to sit on. We would reserve here again. It was quite also even being close to the freeway."
