The COVID-19 pandemic has transformed the world in ways big and small, including our approach to travel. The following tips will help you navigate these new challenges and get you ready for your journey to Burahya:

• Before booking anything, see if any travel restrictions or bans apply — in both your origin and destination. Get up-to-date information by checking government and travel websites.
• When you pass through airport screening, do not remove your face mask. You will be asked to briefly lower it for ID purposes. Passengers who refuse to wear a mask may be fined and denied entry.
• Instead of handing a TSA officer your boarding pass, position it directly on the scanner yourself. After that, hold it up for inspection.
• You can take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on baggage. You'll need to remove it for X-ray screening.
• Empty everything from your pockets, like your small change and phone, and put them in your carry-on rather than into bins. This will reduce handling during the screening process.
• Separate any food you have for screening. Placing it in a clear plastic bag and into a bin reduces the need for a TSA employee to touch and inspect your belongings.
