"We stayed for a couple of nights at Paradores. The place is well maintained considering its age. Some parts of the house are over a hundred years old. Woodworking professionals will appreciate the hardwood floors held together not by nails but of wood pegs. They are uneven at certain parts of the Spanish era home. But that is part of the charm. Just make sure you wear shoes with good traction as the flight of stairs can be quite slippery due to the wood preservatives used. The infinity pool is...

"This is Glamping! Beautiful views over the Taal lake and the volcano, feeling as living in the djungle but without the need for tent and camping fire: more civilized.
On the downside, you have to be prepared for some animals that sneaks into your room as well; we had geckos and cockroaches. If you are uncomfortable with it you can always call the staff and they will come remove them, though.

"Extremely beautiful property! It had a very creative, fun, whimsy feel that was great for people of all ages! The hotel featured four pools. My kids love swimming in the kid pool and going down the kids slide! There were also many beautiful paths in gardens to walk-through and the property had a great view of the mountain!
The staff was extremely nice and helpful! It was a very relaxed vibe.
The room was clean but very basic and the bathroom was very basic as well with just the absolute...
