"I’ve been staying at the Claridge for some time now. I came down for the last AC beer fest weekend and Claridge is typically my place to stay. It’s sad how COVID has diminished these once pristine places. The gift shop was gone, the lounge, empty, and the overall vibe was a little sad. The Ocean view room was fine, but was is severe need of updating. A dilapidated wet bar was in the room that seemed to serve no purpose, and one of the recessed lights above the bed was broken. My wife tried to plug in a phone charger and the outlet sparked. This place is an accident waiting to happen. I’d find other options if you could swing it. I typically don’t post negative reviews, but between all of the above and 1 out of 5 working elevators during our stay, this was probably my final time at the Claridge. End of an era. I sincerely hope there are some updates in the future, but I’m realistic and understand that AC is a dying city and I won’t expect much to change. I hope I’m wrong. "
