ibis Edinburgh Centre South Bridge - Royal Mile
4/10 Poor
"The IKEA furnished hotel. All modular and undersized and “efficient “, very little shelf areas, no place to set things, the bathroom is undersized and does not fit a 6 foot tall person. Staff was friendly, breakfast great. Good location."

Moxy Edinburgh Airport
10/10 Excellent
"Clean, friendly, buzz, perfect for what I needed. "

Apex Grassmarket Hotel
6/10 Okay
"The location was great. Rooms were very dated, with cracked stained porcelain and stained towels."

Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh Airport
8/10 Good
"Bathroom was not great, mold in the shower and they left the shower head pointed up which we did not see and soaked all of our toiletries. Dinner was good as well as breakfast though."

The Resident Edinburgh
8/10 Good
"Lovely, helpful staff. The room was great for one night but would have been a bit small and stuffy for any longer. Good location once you know what you are doing regarding bus/tram/train for getting around. We stayed for a concert on that side of Edinburgh and it worked well for that. Little kitchen area in the room ok for making a coffee and eating a snack but nothing more really."

Apex Waterloo Place Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is easy to get to via the airport bus. We took the bus and a quick walk. (Great for value seekers).
The hotel is super conveniently located. It was very easy to get around the city. It’s super close for walking and has many bus terminals nearby if needed.
The staff here were so friendly and helpful. They allowed us to check our bags in early (we had a morning flight - so dropped them and headed out to the museum). We also were able to check in a bit early and get a solid nap before heading back out for the day.
The hotel itself is beautiful and clean and quiet. There’s a pool (open 7:00-22:00) which is warm and clean and happened to conveniently be on our floor. The bed was comfortable- especially the pillows. There’s a safe and a mini fridge and a kettle. And I loved the bathroom - huge shower and a very helpful large shelf for all your bathroom supplies to sit.
10/10, would absolutely stay here again without hesitation."

YOTEL Edinburgh
8/10 Good
"We had a premium king room. The room was about 3 feet bigger than the bed, no place to be other than in the bed. No in room coffee…I know but that’s how I function…but it was free downstairs. A digital heat/air system that had us baffled and cold. On the plus side it was in a quiet area, two blocks off Princess Street and 15 minutes walking from Dean Village. "

Market Street Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The room was clean, and the bed was reasonably comfortable. They use a memory foam-style mattress topper, so as a side sleeper who moves around a lot, it took a while for it to adjust and reshape. Aside from that, the bed was firm but acceptable.
The room itself was clean, but the view between the hotel rooms really needs attention—especially since there are two windows facing it. Unfortunately, it looked more like a back alley filled with garbage than a pleasant view."

Dakota Edinburgh
10/10 Excellent
"The lighting is very dark when you walk into this hotel, but the ambience is actually rather good. Bar and restaurant areas were well laid out. Food was good. Room was very clean, comfortable, and a good size. Location is great if you are passing by Edinburgh."
