"Great hotel, great staff, great location "

"The hotel is in the perfect location for exploring all the attractions, shops and restaurants in the city centre. It was very clean, the room was perfect for us and the bathroom was spotless and well maintained. The shower was good. All the staff were very friendly and helpful especially a lovely lady who was serving at the bar. The breakfast was great and very relaxed and my two young kids loved that they could make their own waffles at breakfast as part of the buffet. We also ate in the bar...

"We were there for a conference weekend. The outside of the building didn't look very welcoming, due to the black bricks, but once inside, it was lovely, welcoming and warm, the staff were attentive and nothing was too small for them. The rooms, the food everything was perfect."

"Cant beat the location. Just next to York Minster and tons of restaurants. Walking distance to the Shambles and almost everything. The only issue that actually makes our stay not comfortable is that the hotel does not have Air conditioner. We were there during heat wave and this make the stay in the room really unbearable. The temperature in the room was so much higher than the outside. The staff was nice and try to give us 2 fans and a bucket of ice. Still felt very hot. The breakfast was set...
