"The Kruger Gate Hotel really is the dream hotel and we honestly cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, everything about our stay was outstanding. The hotel itself is beautiful and the location is simply incredible. There cannot be many places in the world where you can relax in a swimming pool while watching hippos and elephants at the watering hole. It was one of those experiences that you have to keep reminding yourself is actually real. The food was another huge highlight. Both breakfast and dinner were incredible, with an amazing amount of choice and consistently excellent quality. Every meal felt like an experience in itself and we genuinely looked forward to seeing what was on offer each day. The entertainment was also amazing and added so much to the whole experience. It was wonderful to feel immersed in the local culture while enjoying our evenings at the hotel. One moment that will stay with me was hearing the staff sing The Lion Sleeps Tonight while we were eating. I’ll admit, I even got a little glassy-eyed. It was such a special and unexpectedly emotional moment and perfectly captured the magic of being there. The staff were absolutely outstanding throughout our stay. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and attentive and they all played a part in making the hotel feel so special. We also booked our safaris through the hotel and they were incredibly well planned, exciting and undoubtedly some of the highlights of our trip."

"Our safari trip to Africa was truly the trip of a lifetime. The safari drivers were absolutely amazing and made every day such a great experience. It was a smaller resort, which I loved because everything felt so personal and welcoming. It never felt crowded or overly commercial. The food was another highlight. The dinners were incredible, and we looked forward to them every evening. Between the amazing safari experiences, the wonderful staff, the beautiful setting, and the incredible food, this is a trip we will never forget. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a special and more personal safari experience."

"We had a wonderful stay! We honestly booked without expectations and were blown away. The staff has your whole day planned and makes sure you are cared for and pampered the entire time. The massage therapist was amazing! Our guide and tracker (Mark and Nickel) made the drives completely memorable. Our butler was also very professional and accommodating to our preferences! Owners take pride in their property and went out to their way to make sure our experience was perfect. My family highly recommends!"

"The lodge is lovely, game drives well organised. Every effort is taken to ensure your comfort. Our driver/ tracker was polite, friendly and well informed. We saw lions, rhinos, elephants, hynae, jackal, zebra, giraffes hippos... but no leopard! The food is pretty average and your preferences that they ask about are pretty much ignored. I had said no pasta but that is what I got and a bland and tasteless one at that with no sauce. In particular the dinners lack imagination, especially if you are vegetarian."

"The complex has an excellent restaurant with great views of wildlife and the service was exceptional. The Gym was very good and its equipment was pristine. Our Boma was very private and it had nice views of various species of wildlife walking by every afternoon as they made their way into the bush for the evening."
