This is a gorgeous lodge with incredible staff; delicious meals; comfortable and well designed rooms; a very small number of guests to keep the experience intimate; and a once in a lifetime safari opportunity with extremely knowledgeable guides.

This property is truly incredible! The tents are exceptionally beautiful, and the staff is incredibly friendly, going above and beyond to make you feel at home. That said, for the price you might expect a wider range of options, such as more dining choices or additional safari schedules. However, I understand that with a boutique lodge offering only four rooms, some limitations are to be expected. Despite this, the lodge is stunning, and while the options are fewer, they are of excellent quality. The food, though limited in variety, was absolutely delicious. Overall, it’s a beautiful lodge with an intimate atmosphere and exceptional service.

Heaven on earth

Thabamati is my most favourite place where i stayed in my 6 weeks travelling. Lorna, Kurbis, Oscar and all the staff was outstanding! Without them the place would not feel as homey as it did but would still ve amazing. It's in the middle of Timbavati Private reserve, only 4 luxurious tents with view of a pond. One evening the housekeeping prepared me a bath, so thoughtful. The game drives where not to miss. We saw absolutely everything, Oscar went out of his way to find it and Kurbis answered with endless patience all our questions. Getting back a cold towel and a cold drink where waiting for us. The chef made every 3 meals of the day to a gourmet feast. In my 4 days there (too short time) i did not experience anything bad and i also did not see that anyone did. Was my heaven on earth
