"Lovely hotel, previously stayed when it was Lacanda san Barnaba and the upgrade is really great, whilst still keeping the originsl ceiling frescos and other features. Great new updsted bathrooms. Great communal areas as well as fab breakfast. Only slight niggle was not much hanging space and no drawers but easily manageable. Overall a great stay"

"This hotel is in a great location but if you happen to have a room overlooking the bus station and park, good luck getting any sleep. People were partying all night in the park including setting off fireworks and really loud bangs of unknown origin. Then they start power washing the sidewalks at 4:30am. Both nights there we didn’t get much sleep. The room was ok. Relatively clean but stains on the blanket. We are very disappointed because we paid a lot of money for this room!"

"This place is in a great location. The bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean except we did have bit of a musty smell but it was not terrible and we left the window open and it helped. Staff were great and check in was easy. We didn't know that it included a free breakfast because it wasn't mentioned when we booked so we missed it the first day - no problem it's not a game changer. Overall, we really liked this place and would recommend it."

"Property location is great. Much calmer area away from the tourist, yet close enough to walk everywhere. Great restaurants in the area. Rooms are great, but noisy. stuff wasn't as friendly and as welcoming."

"The hotel is a former Palazzo. Everything about it is impeccable. The staff knows you by name. The food is excellent. The location is perfect, far enough away from the crowds but close enough that everything is within walking distance would definitely stay there again when I go back to (Venice)"

"From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we reluctantly left, the staff treated us as if we were in their homes. The door staff was friendly, helful and always available. The breakfast team were incredibly talented. The food, service and serving ware were all perfection. "Easy journey to Marco Polo airport from the Carnival hotel on the Aliaguna water bus to Guglie a short walk from the hotel. Lots of good restaurants and aperitif places on the canal outside the hotel. Easy access to all the main sites from Tri Archi vaporetto stop outside the hotel. Much cheaper to get a two or three or more days, water bus pass for as many journeys that you want to take each day. Good safe local neighbourhood to wander about including evenings."

"Hotel Albergo Marin, had the best front desk staff - JACK! He was super kind and helpful and really friendly. He provided great recommendations and directions on how to get around Venice. The hotel is conveniently located and just a short walk over the bridge by the main train station. If you get dropped off the bus loop from the airport, it still wasn't a big deal to walk 5-10mins to the hotel with a medium sized luggage. The breakfast at the hotel was pretty good and they will make...
