"The hotel was a bit far from the old town but we use uber to get around and it’s cheap. The hotel was beautiful a lot of sitting areas inside and out as well dining options were great. Entertainment on the day we arrived was great. Staff were very friendly. Our room was big with a lot of storage. Overall it was a newly renovated hotel and it was beautifully done. Access thru the beach is by the next hotel which they own as well. It was quite a walk back up but not bad. Overall, a very pleasant stay. "

"firstly what a fantastic hotel - stayed for 2 weeks and had a very relaxing break and stay - staff very friendly and helpful, with the Botanic bar a personal favourite BUT disappointingly it is NOT a golf resort (private members only) as we were politely ushered out of the clubhouse when enquiring about tee times 😢 but still a good spot for the other vilamoura course - overall a great stay but would have been nicer to play golf ⛳️ "

"I felt I should write a review after reading lots of bad reviews about this hotel, as I had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very basic and doesn't have air conditioning but I knew this before booking. My room didn't get a lot of sun and the temperature was fine. It is clean and there were cleaners working all the time. There are a lot of steps in it but I didn't have a problem with that, there is an elevator. All the photos the hotel provides are exactly how it is. There is a lovely view from the pool and breakfast area. Breakfast was basic, as expected but enjoyable due to the lovely views. It is in an elevated position above the old town, so I would usually walk to the town, which isn't far and get an uber back, which was €4. The lady at reception was very pleasant. Overall, I knew what I had booked before I arrived and I didn't expect five star facilities at a two star hotel. Also I was travelling on my own and felt safe. "
